Dance in Film and Television

Dance Company
Dance is the physical expression of our innermost thoughts and emotions. When movement is connected to a relationship, a story, a thought; that is when dance has the power to move us and make us think. FrancoDance creates works that take dance out of traditional spheres, using storytelling and multi-media elements as a frame for movement that speaks.
Melinda Deines’ work CLYTEMNESTRA’S SLAUGHTERHOUSE is a piece that uses flamenco music and dance along with film and text, to tell the story of two of Greek mythologies most fascinating women: Cassandra and Clytemnestra. A workshop of this piece was produced in September, 2006 in collaboration with Cahoots Theatre Projects, and with the support of the Ontario Arts Council. Look for a full production in 2008.
FrancoDance is always looking for artists to join our company. We are looking for performers with extensive experience in the following fields: ballroom, latin, argentine tango, salsa and flamenco.
